About La Ferme a Juju ...
Ski right back to the south facing terrace of this first floor apartment, which is right next to the Bossonnet lift in the heart of La Clusaz. No traffic jams, no parking, just walk out of your door and on to the lift - what could be better! As a bonus, you can reserve your ski equipment (with a discount!) from Sport Boutique, who will deliver it directly to the Beauregard Hotel, next to La Ferme à Juju.
This property is in the centre of the village, next door to the ski school meeting point. And with the bars, restaurants and shops of La Clusaz on your doorstep, there's no need for a car when you stay at La Ferme à Juju - just park it up (there are three parking spaces) and forget about it.
The owner of the chalet has an apartment on the ground floor, so is available should you need advice about things to do and see during your stay.
Guests will even be entitled to discounts at the owner's ski / equipment shop !
The property ...
Decorated with farming implements found during the renovation, this ancient barn is a real find in the heart of La Clusaz.
It sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms - 3 doubles and one twin, but the star feature of this property has to be the spacious living area, with huge exposed beams, stone fireplace, pine furniture and Savoyard-style soft furnishings.
The kitchen is well equipped, with everything you'll need to cater for a large group, and there is plenty of room at the huge dining table for everyone to eat together. There are two cosy seating areas, and the balconies of three of the bedrooms overlook the village - great for people-watching!
The balcony off the dining room, with views onto the piste in winter and the garden in summer, is the perfect place to catch the morning sun, but on winter nights, snuggle up in front of the open fire or make the most of the apres ski just minutes from your front door.
Whatever the season, you will appreciate the hammam and the jacuzzi after a long day in the mountains...

La Clusaz is an authentic mountain village which blends tradition with up-to-date facilities. Its traditional chalets and lively streets offer a vibrant setting with Savoyard charm. Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif, it is only 30 min from Annecy and close to Le Grand-Bornand and Manigod. Its warm atmosphere and easy accessibility make it a popular destination year-round.
In winter, the resort provides easy access to the Aravis ski area, offering 210km of pistes that combine long descents and technical sectors across La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. The region also offers a variety of winter activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sledging, snow biking, ice diving and ice skating.
During the rest of the year, numerous hiking and biking trails lead to superb views over the Aravis, such as the Plateau des Glières. La Ferme à Juju is a traditional Savoyard farmhouse dating from 1880. It’s located in Bossonnet, a unique small group of well-preserved buildings in the centre of La Clusaz.
They include farm buildings, barns and a communal bread oven, built in the local style and with local materials.
The farm is named after my grandmother Juliette, who we knew as Juju. I have many precious memories of spending time with her and the cows, horses, sheep and chickens here at the farm when I was young.
I was born in the Aravis and I am passionate about the heritage and traditions of the valley. That is why I wanted to maintain the chalet’s authenticity while renovating the barn as a living space.
The apartment takes up the whole of the first floor and the main room is an open plan space consisting of the kitchen, the dining room and two different lounge areas allowing guests to get together around the fireplace or relax apart, as the mood takes them. The interior decoration of this space will, I hope, bring back nostalgic memories, or perhaps give a first glimpse of a time long since gone.
I have kept the old tools, and the stall found in the building during the renovation process and made a feature of them to keep the spirit of the old farm alive.
However, with modern convenience in mind, I have mixed charm and tradition with modern comfort and after an exciting day outdoors, you’ll be delighted to fall asleep under a cosy duvet in one of the four bedrooms.
It is rare to find such an old building in the middle of a ski resort! The farm is ideally situated and you will be able to ski in and ski out, as the Bossonnet ski lift is less than 50 m away from the front door, and the piste by which you can return to the chalet is actually the garden and pasture where cows graze during the summer months. During your stay you can park your car and then forget about it, as everything you need is within walking distance: La Clusaz with its shops and entertainment is on your doorstep!
