About La Ferme a Juju ...
Ski right back to the south facing terrace of this first floor apartment, which is right next to the Bossonet lift in the heart of La Clusaz! No traffice jams, no parking, just walk out of your door and on to the lift - what could be better!
This property is in the centre of the village, next door to the ski school meeting point. And with the bars, restaurants and shops of La Clusaz on your doorstep, there's no need for a car when you stay at La Ferme à Juju - just park it up (there are three parking spaces) and forget about it.
The owner of the chalet has an apartment on the ground floor, so is available should you need advice about things to do and see during your stay.
Guests will even be entitled to discounts at the owner's ski / equipment shop !
The property ...
Decorated with farming implements found during the renovation, this ancient barn is a real find in the heart of La Clusaz.
It sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms - 3 doubles and one twin, but the star feature of this property has to be the spacious living area, with huge exposed beams, stone fireplace, pine furniture and Savoyard-style soft furnishings.
The kitchen is well equipped, with everything you'll need to cater for a large group, and there is plenty of room at the huge dining table for everyone to eat together. There are two cosy seating areas, and the balconies of three of the bedrooms overlook the village - great for people-watching!
The balcony off the dining room, with views onto the piste in winter and the garden in summer, is the perfect place to catch the morning sun, but on winter nights, snuggle up in front of the open fire or make the most of the apres ski just minutes from your front door.
Whatever the season, you will appreciate the hammam and the jacuzzi after a long day in the mountains...
About the area ...
Skiers of all abilities can ski right to the door of this superbly-located apartment.
There’s a ski lift right next door to La Ferme à Juju, and the Aravis ski pass gives you access to 220km of pristine pistes in La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Manigod. The weekly flood-lit descent in La Clusaz is a must! The local ESF ski school meets for beginners’ lessons next door to the apartment, and cross-country skiers will find great terrain at Lac des Confin and the Glieres plateau, just a short drive or ski bus ride away.
Non-skiers will have no time to be bored either, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the heated outdoor pool at La Clusaz, while the snow falls gently around you.
At La Ferme à Juju, there’s no end to the summer activities and entertainment.
Walking or biking in the mountains is a pleasure, and all the hard work is done for you if you take the ski lift to the top and bike or walk down at your own pace - take a picnic and make a day of it, or treat yourself to lunch at a mountain restaurant, many of which are open all year round.
Adrenalin junkies can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing, mountain-biking or white-water rafting. Via ferrata is a great family day out, with children as young as eight able to explore the mountains safely on iron walkways, secured to a harness.
There are several golf courses within an hour of La Clusaz, and children will love the outdoor swimming pools in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand.
A day out in the medieval town of Annecy is a must - spend the morning exploring the shops and markets of this canalised town, enjoy lunch at a lakeside restaurant and then spend the afternoon on the beach or hire a boat and viist some of the beautiful villages around the lake.

From the owner
I was born in the Aravis and I'm passionate about the valley's heritage and traditions. I wanted to preserve authenticity.
La Ferme à Juju is a traditional Savoyard farmhouse dating from 1880. It’s located in Bossonnet, a unique small group of well-preserved buildings in the centre of La Clusaz.
They include farm buildings, barns and a communal bread oven, built in the local style and with local materials.
The farm is named after my grandmother Juliette, who we knew as Juju. I have many precious memories of spending time with her and the cows, horses, sheep and chickens here at the farm when I was young.
I was born in the Aravis and I am passionate about the heritage and traditions of the valley. That is why I wanted to maintain the chalet’s authenticity while renovating the barn as a living space.
The apartment takes up the whole of the first floor and the main room is an open plan space consisting of the kitchen, the dining room and two different lounge areas allowing guests to get together around the fireplace or relax apart, as the mood takes them. The interior decoration of this space will, I hope, bring back nostalgic memories, or perhaps give a first glimpse of a time long since gone.
I have kept the old tools, and the stall found in the building during the renovation process and made a feature of them to keep the spirit of the old farm alive.
However, with modern convenience in mind, I have mixed charm and tradition with modern comfort and after an exciting day outdoors, you’ll be delighted to fall asleep under a cosy duvet in one of the four bedrooms.
It is rare to find such an old building in the middle of a ski resort! The farm is ideally situated and you will be able to ski in and ski out, as the Bossonnet ski lift is less than 50 m away from the front door, and the piste by which you can return to the chalet is actually the garden and pasture where cows graze during the summer months. During your stay you can park your car and then forget about it, as everything you need is within walking distance: La Clusaz with its shops and entertainment is on your doorstep!
I hope you enjoy your stay at La Ferme à Juju, in the heart of La Clusaz, in the heart of the Aravis mountains.

“Book now, you won't be disappointed!”
Very clean and well maintained, this chalet is managed very professionally by its owner Christian. Our stay was perfect! We highly recommend the chalet to families because it is spacious, located as close as possible to the slopes ... a truly incredible location. Very good general equipment. An attentive and discreet host. The lifts being closed we took advantage of the walks and the activities offered for children.

“First class chalet”
Everything about the property is first class: the location, the facilities and the cleanliness. The location of the chalet is perfect being around 50m from the Bossennet ski lift. The views from the balcony were wonderful and the facilities in the chalet exceeded our expectations. On our return we immediately booked again for 2021 and are looking forward to seeing Christian and his daughter again

“Beautiful authentic chalet in an excellent location”
Everything at La Ferme à Juju was excellent. The location couldn't have been better just beside the chairlifts and ski school. The ski bus for other areas stopped outside.

An excellent holiday in this chalet at the foot of the pistes. It is comfortable and well equipped, and decorated in a typical Savoyard style, combining the charm of the old and modern comforts. We really loved the location and the comfort. It was so good to have the village and nature so close.

“Absolutely perfect welcome and stay.”
We’re hesitating about giving too many compliments, because we know this chalet gets booked up way in advance and if we share what we really think, we’ll have to book now to stay in several years time!
— Guillaume S. Feb 2018
You literally walk out of the door and are on the slopes right next to the ski lift! Beautiful and comfortable chalet, everything we needed was provided. Hot tub & sauna ware perfect after a day on the slopes.
— Chloe D. Jan 2018
“Even better than the site”
The location is great, and the size of the living area is really a plus. I do not believe the photos on the website do the spaciousness of this room justice! Very friendly place and great for the kids.
— Suzanna W. Apr 2017
“We have already booked for next year!”
The perfect location on the edge of the village and the pistes. Spacious (bedrooms, bathrooms and the large shared living room). Good quality bed linen. A pleasant mix of the traditional and the modern. If you need proof of how much we enjoyed it, we have already booked for next year.
— Patrick L. Mar 2017
“A memorable skiing holiday”
We stayed at La Ferme à Juju in March 2017. The traditional wood property itself was pretty amazing and could not be more conveniently located for the slopes (truly ski in and ski out and very close to the Bossonet chair lift). Also provides for very easy walking access to La Clusaz Village. We met the owner Christian and his daughter Deborah and they could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Relaxing in the hot tub at the end of days skiing across sun kissed slopes from Beauregard to Balme is a real must... as is popping to the local "boulangerie" each morning for fresh croissants, pains au chocolat and bread... And of course walking across the road to see Sam in the Bali Bar for those essential après-ski moments. Thank you Christian for your hospitality and for La Ferme à Juju. The whole family loved your chalet.
— Paul S. Mar 2017
“See you next time!”
Thank you Christian for this week in your fantastic chalet, perfectly located. We were a group of 9 people. Our children and grand children all found their own space and enjoyed it very much. Nice and comfortable.
— Christelle M. Mar 2017
“Great location. Lovely open space.”
Access to piste and chairlift is second to none. Central to town. Nice view.
— Tony M. Jan 2017
“The perfect place in La Clusaz”
Don't look any further, you will not find a better location (at the foot of the slopes, a short walk to the village), or anywhere more comfortable.
— Pascal V. Jan 2017
We had a nice stay at La Ferme à Juju. Only suggestion: maybe you could add a handrail to the stairs.
— Jerome G. Jan 2017
“A great week!”
Thank you to La Ferme à Juju and La Clusaz for a fabulous winter wonderland holiday.
— Kathryn K. Jan 2017
“In the heart of the village”
We had a lovely stay at Ferme a Juju, which is very well located in the heart of the village. The owner is charming. We have given your details to friends who have booked for March 2017! The OVO website deserves a special mention - it is very well done.
— Richard B. Apr 2016
“Super in all aspects”
Just wanted to write and say how much we enjoyed our week in La Clusaz in La Ferme à Juju. The chalet was super in all aspects and we all felt very much at home. We were very impressed with La Clusaz itself and the warm welcome we received everywhere. We felt the resort was particularly good for the children; the green/blue runs around the top of the Beauregard gondola were great for getting them really skiing in the afternoons after their mornings at ski school.Unfortunately Easter in 2017 is much later in April (Easter Sunday is 16th April) so these dates won't allow for us to make a return trip next year but we would certainly consider a return for Easter 2018!Many many thanks once again.
— Massey R. Mar 2016
“Sun, blue sky and snow.”
We had a super holiday, the chalet is very well designed, very spacious and above all, very well located opposite the pistes and the centre of the village. The owner is very kind. A very good week.
